News Release: LIFE Natura2000Value Crete project organised a workshop in Archanes, on the 17th of March 2017
The workshop of the project LIFE Natura2000Value Crete took place in Archanes, Municipality of Archanes-Asterousia, on the 17th of March 2017 and it is the 9th of a series of 24 workshops which will be held in all of the Municipalities of Crete in the context of the project's actions. It was held in the framework of a three-day (17 - 19 March 2017) educational seminar for teachers in the field of Environmental Education entitled: "Tourism and Environment: Local crops and products", organized by the Environmental Education Center of Archanes - Rouvas - Gouves, in collaboration with the Region of Crete and the Municipality of Archanes-Asterousia. The aims of the seminar were: a) the designation of the local crops in relation with the sustainable tourism in Greece, b) the connection of the natural environment of each region with the education for the promotion and consumption of local products, c) the promotion of Environmental Education activities, and d) the encouragement towards using good practices and exchanging of ideas between the participants.
