News Release: The travelling photo exhibition of the project LIFE Natura2000 Value Crete was presented at Loggia (Municipality of Heraklion) in the context of the World Environment Day
The travelling photo exhibition along with the new documentary of the project, were presented at the patio of Loggia on Tuesday, the 6th of June 2017. These actions took place in the context of the environmental awareness-raising activities of the Municipality of Heraklion and the Natural History Museum of Crete (NHMC), as a part of the celebration of the World Environment Day (WED) (5 June).

In the context of the communication actions of the project LIFE Natura2000 Value Crete, the University of Crete - Natural History Museum of Crete will present a photo exhibition entitled "NATURA 2000 sites and Ecosystem Services". The exhibition will be placed at the Information Centre of the Psiloritis Natural Park (AKOMM - PSILORITIS DEVELOPMENT AGENCY S.A, ORGANIZATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT) in Anogeia (Municipality of Anogeia) until the 20th of May.

In the context of the communication actions of the project LIFE Natura2000 Value Crete, the University of Crete - Natural History Museum of Crete will present a photo exhibition themed "NATURA 2000 sites and Ecosystem Services". The exhibition will be placed at the City Hall of the Municipality of Malevizi (Gazi) and will be open to the public until the 3rd of April.

In the context of the celebration of EuroBirdwatch16, the University of Crete - Natural History Museum of Crete will be presenting a photo exhibition at the Hall of the Municipal Council of Fourfouras village, Municipality of Amari, from 3/10/2016 to 30/11/2016.
The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of the general public, students and teachers concerning the protection of avian species and the achievement of their active participation into various environmental issues.

In the context of the communication activities of the project LIFE Natura2000 Value Crete, the University of Crete - Natural History Museum of Crete (NHMC) placed the travelling photo exhibition of the project in the City Hall of Spili, Municipality of Agios Vasilios on Monday, 29th of August 2016. The exhibition had been available to visitors in the fortress of Fragkokastello from the 27th of July to the 27th of August 2016.

In the context of the communication activities of the project LIFE Natura2000 Value Crete, University of Crete - Natural History Museum of Crete (NHMC) a travelling photo exhibition will be placed in the castle of Frangokastello, about 12 km. east of Chora Sfakion, Municipality of Chania, on Thursday, 28th of July 2016 and will last until the end of August.

The travelling photo exhibition of the project had been presented in the City Hall of Chania from the 5th of June to the 27th of June 2016. On the occasion of the workshops organised in Chania and Alikampos village, the exhibition was transferred and set in the Cultural Centre of Alikampos on the 28th of June where it will be open to the public until the 26th of July. Residents of the area, visitors and tourists will have the chance to get informed of the NATURA 2000 sites in Crete, since the 18 banners of the exhibition present the benefits people get from 3 different types of ecosystems: mountainous, which characterise the Cretan mainland, agro - ecosystems and coastal areas, being a tourist attraction during summer.
