The GREEN FUND co-finances the LIFE Natura2000 Value Crete project
The Greek GREEN FUND with its Decision No. 121.5/2017 co-finances the LIFE13 INF/GR/000188 – LIFE Natura2000 Value Crete project with the amount of € 27,000.
The LIFE Natura2000 Value Crete project is being implemented from July 2014 to June 2018 (duration 4 years). Coordinating Beneficiary of the project is the University of Crete – Natural History Museum of Crete (UoC – NHMC), while Associated Beneficiaries are the Decentralized Administration Authority of Crete (DAAC) – Directorate of Coordination and Supervision of Forests and the Hellenic Ornithological Society (HOS).
The total budget of the LIFE Natura2000 Value Crete project amounts to € 1,085,171. The European Commission / DG Environment co-finances the project at a rate of 48.93% (50.00% of the total eligible costs, i.e. € 530,960), while the Ministry of Environment and Energy (YPEN) has co-financed the project at a rate of 9.22% (€ 100,000). The project co-beneficiaries cover 39.37% of the budget with own resources (the total amount of own participation of the project Beneficiaries amounts to € 427,211).
